Marina Zurkow

Marina Zurkow is an American visual artist. She is works with multiple medias, animation, and video based out of New York. One of my favorite works she did was Mesocósmico (Paulista). It was a digital instillation on a building in Brazil. She interprets things differently than other people. She has a weird style of almost psychedelic designing. Her colors are very vivid in this piece and the shapes all are very flowing. I like this piece because I myself like to experiment with color and weird shapes and movements. I find her work very inspiring.

Another work I really liked by her is Nicking the Never. It is a “multi-linear installation that incorporates screen-based animated narratives into a sculptural interface.” It was a girl stuck in a screen that is almost interactive. There are six screens (realms) location around each other to create a trapping environment. I love how well rounded of an artist she is. She works with technology and uses it to express her art to be more modern.
